At the prestigious 2008 Security Excellence Awards which, after ten years are now widely acknowledged as the security industry “Oscars”, Britain’s fastest growing provider of security services, VSG, scooped the night’s premier award to become Security Guarding Company of the Year.

In an outstandingly successful evening, VSG also overcame strong competition to win the award for Security Training Initiative of the Year. For this award, VSG was jointly nominated with Bank of America, one of its many blue-chip clients.

The award was made on the basis of the innovative security specialist training programme that VSG has developed and implemented for the Bank, and which covers a diverse range of skills including, for example, emergency medical care provision (EMCP), and counter terrorism measures.

This is the third time in the past four years that VSG has been recognised by its industry peers as Security Guarding Company of the Year – an accolade that is universally seen as the top award in the sector – and the first time that it has won the Security Training Initiative of the Year award.
